US Military: Do War, Don't Surf

DENVER - United States Army beyond the sea will more difficult to say hello with friends or family which ordinary conduct with internet. In near time, the US Defend Department will Block the internet access to Youtube, Myspace, MTV and other 11 popular sites so cannot be accessed in military computer.

The policy will be applied started in Monday propose the memo sent by Commander of US Defend in Korea, General BB Bell. To increase the information secret that can be used by enemy to bother United States security.

"High Recreational Traffic affect to DoD network and bandwidth ability, and sometime is complicating, when network required for operational need,” said Bell in the memo, like reported by AP.

US Military in fact have been long enough prohibited their army personnel give the information which can endanger the mission and security, by use electronic media with any purpose.

But the new policy is different, because correlating some popular sites which often used by the personnel to send and receive the message, photo, video, audio to their friends and family.

Is true the collision only affect if all lonely army use the office computer. But the new regulation like closed totally the accessibility of all US military personnel to internet, especially for the army which residing in Iraq, Afghanistan and the personnel which residing in the middle of sea, where again they can use the computer.

The sites which blocked are You Tube, Metacafe, IFILM, Stupidvideos, Filecabi, and friendship sites like Myspace, Blackplanet and Hi5. Meanwhile, music site like Pandora, MTV, and 1.fm and Live365, and photo sharing site, Photobucket nor can be accessed.
